Donald Trump was the talk of the night at the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner on Saturday.
The annual event, which celebrities and politicians alike attended, opened with President Obama airing a segment called "I Am a Real American" that poked fun at the recent controversy surrounding his birth certificate, for which Trump has claimed responsibility.
"My fellow Americans," Obama began, emphasizing "fellow."
He then singled out a sour-faced Trump, who had been booed by the media as he arrived for the dinner hours ago.
"I know he's taken some flack lately," Obama said, "but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate issue to rest than Donald, and that's because he can get back to the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?"
Obama also took a jab at Trump's plans to run for presidency in 2012. "We all know about your credentials," he snarked. He brought up Trump's decision to fire Gary Busey in a recent episode of Celebrity Apprentice, joking, "These the kinds of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well handled, sir. Well handled."
He then showed a mock-up of Trump's version of the White House, which featured a neon hot pink sign and bikini-clad girls out front.
Obama also made a dig at actor Matt Damon, who recently publicly spoke out against him.
"Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance," he said. "Well, Matt, I just saw The Adjustment Bureau, so right back atcha, buddy!"
Saturday Night Live writer Seth Meyers, who spoke after Obama, took a break during his traditional roast of the president to mock Trump as well.
"Donald Trump often appears on Fox, which is ironic, because a fox often appears on Donald Trump's head," he quipped.
He also threw in a reference to former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
"Donald Trump owns the Miss USA pageant, which is great for Republicans because it will streamline their search for vice president."
Other Hollywood figures in attendance Friday night included Sean Penn, Steve Buscemi, Elizabeth Banks, Jane Lynch, Mila Kunis, Jon Hamm, Scarlett Johansson, the Coen Brothers and Erin Andrews.
